MARIAH RIPKEN

Mariah is brand new to the Apex area, coming from Havre de Grace, Maryland where she was born and raised. Collegiately, Mariah played softball at Harford Community College as a freshman and finished the last three years of her career at Neumann University in Pennsylvania where she graduated with a B.S. in Sport Management. In her three years at Neumann, Mariah helped the Knights to the conference finals each year and sealed her career with a Championship as the Captain in her final season. Other highlights include: First Team All CSAC Conference, 2011 & 2013, CSAC Sportsmanship Award 2013, CSAC Tournament MVP 2013, NFCA All Region First Team 2013, ECAC South All Stars First Team 2013, and 2013 NCAA Woman of the Year Nominee.

Coaching Career:

After college, Mariah began instructing privately and took over as the Varsity Softball Head Coach, for the last four seasons, at her Alma Mater in Havre de Grace. There she coached several All County athletes and players who went on to play in college. Mariah has also been working professionally around the game since graduating in 2013, developing softball and baseball programming for various companies with the goal of growing the game and using the sport of softball as a tool in shaping today’s youth.
